Looking at Cactus
Cactus Beach is a well renowned surfing Beach situated on the Great Australian Bight. Approximately 20 kilometers South of Penong on the Eyre Highway. A place of long beaches, pounding surf native scrub and great white sand dunes. The surf wasn’t the best so the surfers were having a rest day, so my wife and myself and the dog decided to go for a walk to see what opportunities where out there to create a terrific photo. We wander up onto a rocky out crop when I spotted a sand stone over hang, with great texture and colour in the rock formation. So for the next 1/2 hour I tried numerous ways to squeeze myself in there to capture the image that you see before you.
