Under the Jetty
This image takes me back to my childhood days when I used to go to the beach with Mum and Dad. We’d try and get a place under the jetty for a bit of shade, and the occasional bit of sand that fell through the boards we just put up with. Smoky Bay Jetty is about 40 kilometers South East of Ceduna. I just love the grey weathered timber structures under jetties. The rusting bolts and just the way that they are fitted together. I loved how the light was displayed on the support beams of the jetty, as it filtered through the boards above. These aspects produced a superb image of the jetty as it ran away into the ocean. I turned the image into those lovely grey & silver tones of a black and white photo.
