When you come across the Sturt Desert Pea it is usually in a dry desert environment. And being bright red with a black center makes it stand out. One but can’t help but to admire it .

Description

Deep red flower The Sturt Desert Pea.

Sturt Desert Pea is South Australia's floral emblem. I found the lovely specimen growing in a creek bed. That we were travelling along to get to the Chambers Gorge campground. Once I had stopped I found a number of other Plants. The Sturt desert Pea most probably likes this location due to the fact its tap root can reach water.  I liked this particular clump, because it had the best bloom. So down on onto the ground to get the right angle and zoomed in tight, blurred the background and there you have it .
