What a fantastic afternoon this was, the light did everything right for me. I had spent the previous day scouting Willkawillina Gorge looking for photo opportunities when I came across this scene, the pool of water the lovely rock formation. There was only a slight reflection in the pool at this stage but I thought it was worth coming back to shoot this scene with the setting sun.
I checked my compass to see where the sun was going to set and it was looking real good. So I came back next day about 6 pm to set myself up to capture the scene. What a pleasant surprise when the warm afternoon sun shone its golden rays on that rock face.
