I had read about Mount Augustus while researching for the trip into the Pilbara and Kimberlys, It it is claimed to be the world's largest Monolith ( mainly in tourist information ) but not substantiated by any research. I had picked the location the day before and then at 5 in the morning set of in the Landrover. I don't think I was to popular in the campgrounds. but although I could have walked there I needed the top of the landrover as my shooting platform to get the best view of Mount Augustus. Once set up it was a matter of waiting for the right moment to come along .
