Quite a stunning image and its mainly due to the fact that it is nearly devoid of vegetation except for a few small trees scattered over the bald looking hill. We had been driving for an hour or so from Marble Bar when I spotted this Bald hill. I stopped backed up and could believe what I was looking at, wherever I looked there were shrubs, small trees and spinifex grass. All except for this particular bald looking hill. It definitely warranted a closer inspection, so into low range and across the countryside to get closer. Because where we were by the road side even the 200mm lens could bring it in closer enough. We only had to go cross country for about 500 meters, then up on the roof of the Landrover and grabbed the shot.
