Flood Waters cascading over the Mannum Falls
Mannum is situated on the river Murray approximately an hour and a half from Adelaide. The waterfalls are located before you get to Mannum. Due to Mannum having a fairly low rainfall the waterfalls don't always have water flowing down them. So when South Australia had this huge amount of rain ( 12/16 September 2016 ) It was certainly a good time to go and have a look at what was happening at the Falls. When I arrived there, it was plain to see from the carpark the flood waters cascading over the huge rocks which make up the falls. As usual I was looking for something different then just a long high up shot looking down on the flood waters coming over the falls. So that meant climbing down to creek level of the falls. So on with the pack of camera gear, trekking poles and down we went. It was certainly worth the effort, standing there looking at the fast flowing water cascading over huge boulders.
