Dust on Sunset

Glorious dust on sunset

Young calves on Outback station in the Kimberley's just on  dusk stirring up the dust waiting for a feed to be handed out. We were travelling on the great northern highway on our way to Kununurra, getting late in the day and hadn’t found a bush camp yet. Rosemary spotted a small sign on the highway, it said camping and a arrow pointing towards a station gate. So in we went it was a very basic style setup a toilet and a shower. just our type of camp grounds pick a spot and make it yours there were only another 5 vehicles there so it was very peaceful. Next to the camping area was a fenced of area that contained young cattle. I gather they had just finished there mustering, Anyway I thought I might grab the camera and see if anything was worth photographing. It was getting on sunset and you never know what happens. As it turned out a couple of cattle had gotten out and were being chased by 2 stockman, trying to get them back in the yard. Well this caused quite a combination with the you calves and as they started milling around it stirred up the dust.  and just as the sun was disappearing behind the horizon. What a fantastic opportunity this was.
